A kulturális örökség kezeléséért és fenntartható­ságáért - Az innováció és a fenntartható megőrzési gyakorlatok előmozdítása

A Kulturális Örökség-menedzsment és Fenntarthatósági UNESCO Tanszék a kőszegi Felsőbbfokú Tanulmányok Intézetében (iASK) 2011-ben jött létre, és 2017-ben integrálódott az iASK-ba. A tanszék regionális központként szolgál a kulturális örökség megőrzési gyakorlatainak előmozdítása és az innovatív kutatási és tanulmányi programok fejlesztése terén. Dr. Miszlivetz Ferenc professzor vezetésével a kőszegi Kulturális Örökség-menedzsment és Fenntarthatósági Tanszék az UNESCO értékeit népszerűsíti. Az UNESCO Tanszék célja a kulturális örökségkezelési gyakorlatok előmozdítása, biztosítva a kulturális örökségi helyszínek újjáépítését, védelmét és hasznosítását, miközben elősegíti azok társadalmi-gazdasági hasznát és a közösségi szerepvállalást.

A tanszék a kutatás és az együttműködés révén aktívan hozzájárul a kulturális örökség kezelésének legjobb gyakorlatainak kialakításához. Az interdiszciplináris megközelítések és a nemzetközi párbeszéd iránti elkötelezettséget tükrözik a szervezett rendezvények, köztük az UNESCO MOST Téli Iskola, a Nemzetközi Nyári Egyetem és a Nemzetközi Blue Sky Konferencia.
