Member of the Employers’ Group in the European Economic and Social Committee
András Edelényi graduated as a chemical engineer from the University of Pannonia, in Veszprém and received his Ph.D. in 1974. He led executive management postgraduate studies in Dartmouth College and Duke University, USA. He spent 21 years in the Taurus Hungarian Rubber Works, starting in managerial jobs in the research and development area. He was executive vice president of the Taurus Group. András Edelényi was country director at the French Group Schneider Electric. Since 2006 he has been a consultant in top management. He was Secretary-General of the Federation of European Chemical Societies, and board member of the Chemical Engineering Federation. He is a member and frequently invited guest speaker of Hungarian, the French-Hungarian and the German-Hungarian chambers of commerce and industry. Since 2015 he has been a member of the Employers’ Group in the European Economic and Social Committee.
