Pályázati felhívás: FTI-iASK Kutatói ösztöndíj 2019

Az FTI-iASK 2019. szeptember 01. és 2020 június 20. közötti időszakra 3 és 10 hónapos kutatói ösztöndíj-pályázatot írt ki társadalom tudományok és társadalmi innováció tárgykörében.

The Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK) invites applications with social scientific and social innovation relevance from all scientific disciplines for the academic year of 1 September 2019 – 30 June 2020 for periods of between 3-10 months.

Preference will be given to applications focusing on interdisciplinary social science and humanities OR to applications in the natural sciences but have a social scientific relevance. Topics that directly relate to the research centres and programs of iASK are given preference. Research proposals should connect theoretical knowledge with practical analysis that has the potential to result in concrete policy recommendations that serve the public good on the local, national, regional and global levels.

Advanced Research on New Methodologies

Grants are available for senior and early-career researchers in all disciplines on the following broad themes:

From Linear thinking to “Metadisciplinary” contextuality

  1. Social networks from Modernity to the digital age – historical continuities and the reproduction of communal ties and cultural capital
  2. Analysis of patterns of social inequality, marginalisation and situated knowledge(s)
  3. Memory, forgetting and methodologies with a special focus on inter-cultural heritage management.

 

Polányi Centre

Grants are available for senior and early-career researchers on the following broad themes:

Globalisation, Democracy and Sustainable Societies:

  1. The crisis and transformation of democracy and socio-economic polarisation (security, war, violence, changing energy paradigms, water scarcity, causes and consequences of migration)
  2. Traumatised societies and forms of social dissent
  3. Complex system theory from social, political and economic perspectives
  4. Conflict and cooperation in evolutionary systems and societies

 KRAFT Social Innovation Lab

Grants are available for senior and early-career researchers on the following themes:

  1. Multimode human-centric mathematic modelling of network of networks in geographic regions
  2. Economic evaluation and predictive analysis of transactions in regional networks
  3. Behavioural change in social networks with special focus on individual health

 

Grants are available for early-career researchers on the following themes:

  1. Big data analysis and deep learning in complex person-centered datasets
  2. Multicriteria evaluation of complex customer journeys
  3. Sustainable development of society and economy in regions

 

Hankiss Research Archive

Grants are available for early-career researchers on the following themes:

  1. The Hankiss files
  2. The study of complex systems through “holistic” scientific inquiry
  3. The decline of Western civilization? The interconnections between literature, arts, music and religion in Axial Ages

 

Application deadline: 20 February 2019 (midnight)

Applications should include a completed application form, a research proposal, a signed declaration form, and an academic Curriculum Vitae. Early career researchers are to attach 2 professional recommendation letters as well.
