Mukminin Amirul is a Professor in educational policy in the Graduate School/Faculty of Education, Universitas Jambi, Indonesia. He holds a Ph.D. from Florida State University in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a specialization in sociocultural and international development education studies. He received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue his Ph.D. and was an Erasmus Mundus postdoctoral researcher at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He also received a 2016–2017 Fulbright Senior Research at Claremont Graduate University, California. In 2020, he has been awarded a full fellowship by the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg, Hungary. His research has appeared in numerous scholarly journals, including IEEE Acess, Heliyon, the Qualitative Report, Journal of International Students, Journal of Baltic Science Education, Center for Educational Policy Studies Journal, and Islamic Quarterly, and Teaching English with Technology. In 2020, Prof. Mukminin with his co-researchers was awarded a World-Class Research Grant by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia to conduct a study of factors that support the use of the Internet in learning English in Indonesia.
