Ágnes Kovács, Hungarian-Italian teacher, television journalist. She graduated from ELTE as a literary historian. She defended her doctoral thesis in 2011 at ELTE BTK ITDI’s Nyugat és Kora (The literature of the Nyugat publication) Program. She worked as an assistant professor at the Institute of Aesthetics, Linguistics and Literary Studies at the Savaria University Center of the University of Nyugat, the predecessor of ELTE SEK. Her areas of research and teaching include literary theory, contemporary Hungarian literary history, literature, and media studies. She has worked for numerous television channels and newspapers as an editor, presenter, editor-in-chief, and creative director. She is a researcher (Agota Kristof Research Groupe) and communications manager at iASK. She regularly publishes in literary and cultural studies journals and moderates cultural events. She published her literary studies in a collection of essays entitled Szövegnyomozások (Text Investigations) in 2022. Her first novel, Zárvatermők kertje (The Garden of Fallen Petals), was published by Kalligram Publishing. She publishes her literary works under the name Ágnes Cser Kovács.
