About Us

Erzsébet Tokaji Nagy

Erzsébet Tokaji Nagy is a senior adviser at the the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK) and a senior researcher in the research group of the László Németh College. In 1988, she obtained her doctorate in Literature and Library Science from the Faculty of Humanities of ELTE University, where her research topic was the publishing activities of Imre Cserépfalvi and the critical reception of his publications. Erzsébet Tokaji Nagy was a lecturer at the Library Department of the Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training College in Szombathely from 1983 to 1991, then a staff member of the National Collection Site Coordination and Document Supply Department until her retirement, and from 2003 to 2017 she was the head librarian and head of the Information and Reading Service of the National Széchenyi Library. She was a founding member of the Libinfo (Internet Information Service of Hungarian Libraries).
In 2017, she was awarded the Ferenc Széchenyi Memorial Medal for his professional activities.
In addition to her career as a librarian, Erzsébet Tokaji Nagy was the editor-in-chief and initiator of the college student newspaper Kilátó and one of the active “workers” in the establishment and operation of the college’s student union system.
