On June 6th iASK hosted a lecture by H. E. Ronan Gargan, Ambassador of Ireland to Hungary. The lecture was a part of our Future of Europe in a Global Context series that brings together prominent international scholars and public figures. The lecture was be accompanied by an exhibition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Ireland’s membership in the EU.

XXIII. International Summer University – Europe in the Vortex of Change
Organized by the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK) and the Institute for Social and European Studies (ISES), in cooperation with the University of Pannonia and supported by iASK, the Central European Initiative and UNESCO Since 1996 the international summer university has been a great opportunity for experts, activists, practitioners, policy makers, researchers, social scientists and students to meet and discuss contemporary challenges and international cooperation.
Exhibition of Dvora Barzilai’s paintings in the Synagogue
Dvora Barzilai’s exhibition presents the female figures of the Tanakh. The artist lives her Judaism in a modern Orthodox form, merging religion with the secular in her art.
Concert by Károly Binder in the Synagogue
The 28th International Summer University, organised by our Institute, start on 25 June (Sunday), with a concert by pianist Károly Binder in the synagogue of Kőszeg on the opening day, at 7 pm.
