On September 18th, Jody Jensen gave a keynote speech at the international Cycling Without Age Summit 2026 – the initiative of Ole Kassov, a Danish Ashoka Fellow – at the Merlin Theater in Budapest. She spoke about the pre‑ and post‑1989 transitions in East and Central Europe, and the rise of civil society organizations in the region after the system change.

Jody Jensen was the Hungarian and later Central European director of Ashoka Innovators for the Public for 8 years. The conference was attended by about 150 people from 40 countries and opened by the Mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karácsony.
