Steps have been taken to internationalize the ‘KRAFT-methodology’. A research paper, elaborated by KRAFT Centre researchers (Zoltán Gaál, Lajos Szabó, Mariann Szabó and Gyula Zilahy) called ‘The KRAFT-Index: Creative Cities – Sustainable Regions’ has been accepted for presentation at the 24^th International Sustainable Development Research Society Conference that takes place in Messina, Italy from June 13-105, 2018.

The theme of the conference is “Actions for a sustainable world: from theory to practice”.

The presentation will introduce the development of the KRAFT-Index in cooperation with other iASK Centres and the multidisciplinary (management, law, tourism, sustainability studies and general and applied regional economics) research group of the KRAFT Centre. It pays special attention to the role of stakeholders (mayors, urban development strategists), The presentation will cover project management (preparation and implementation), evaluation of household surveys, interviews with local government representatives, and measuring the opinion of local firm management representatives.
