Rudolf Klein, is a professor of architectural history. His research areas are History and theory of 19th and 20th century architecture, Contemporary architecture, architecture and ideas, architecture and ethnic or confessional identity in the 19th and 20th centuries. He also studies the interaction of civilizations in the field of architecture such as the Japanese influence on 20th century Western modernism and Orientalism of 19th century synagogues in Central Europe. His main areas of teaching are the history of 19th and 20th century architecture and architectural theories of modern times.
