About Us

Szilvia Iski

Szilvia Iski is the historian-museologist of the Helikon Castle in Keszthely. She graduated as a teacher from the Csokonai Vitéz Mihály College in Kaposvár, as a history teacher from the Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training College in Szombathely, and as a MA history teacher from the University of Pécs.
She is involved in the professional work of Helikon Kastély in many different ways. Her work as a museologist focuses on the history of the Festetics family in Keszthely. Between 2016 and 2021, she organized guided tours of Keszthely, where, in addition to the history of the Festetics family, she also dealt with the criminal history of the “happy peace times”, the life of the trade and hospitality industry, and the events of the First World War in Keszthely. She is also involved in the museum education work of Helikon Castle. She has created the fairytale world of the Keszthely Castle. Since then, she has been holding story hours where children can learn about the exhibitions of Helikon Castle in a fairytale format. Together with co-editor Laura Kardos, she edited the book Time-Locked in Light – The Life of the Festetics Family of Keszthely in Pictures.
