About Us

Rozita Dimova

Rozita Dimova is senior research fellow at iASK. She is research fellow at Centre for Advanced and Interdisciplinary Research, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius (UKIM), Skopje, North Macedonia and qualitative researcher at Kentaur Impex, Skopje, North Macedonia. She was also associate professor in Southeast European Studies, Ghent University, Belgium (2013-2020), senior research fellow at Department of Slavic Studies, Humboldt University Berlin, Germany (2010-2013), at Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Halle, Germany (2004-2007). She is a member of American Anthropological Association, Society for the Anthropology of Europe, American Ethnological Society, European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA), The Association for Slavic, East European, & Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), International Society for Ethnology and Folklore (SIEF), Association for the Study of Nationalities (ASN). Her areas of research are: Climate and eco activism in the Balkans related to the water systems, as well as the role of national, local governments, political representatives, UNESCO and the European Commissions responsible for and involved in legal and political regulations for protecting the Balkan lakes and their environment.
