Samuel Martín-Barbero received his PhD in Communication at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in 2004. He has been the Rector of the Universidad Camilo José Cela (UCJC, Madrid) since September 2015. He functioned as the Associate Dean of the IE Business School between 2010 and 2015 and as the Secretary General of the International Advisory Board at the IE University (Segovia) between 2011 and 2015. Additionally, he was the Founding-Dean of the IE School of Communication at the IE University between 2008 and 2010. His areas of managerial achievement and/or knowledge specialization include public diplomacy, philanthropy, strategic communication and international/institutional development.
