Dr. Zoltán Kántor, PhD, CSc. Graduated in Physics in 1992 and obtained his academic degree in 1996 at the Attila József University, Szeged. Between 1992 and 2003, research fellow and senior research fellow of the Research Group on Laser Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Associate professor of the Department of Physics and Mechatronics of the University of Pannonia between 2003 and 2008. His research areas in the materials science covered laser processing of surfaces and laser-matter interactions, interferometric measurements and processing, laser and diode laser spectroscopy and nuclear spectrometry. Further research, development and educational activities were related to sensorics and mechatronics. The most remarkable research stays were at the Department of Applied Physics of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz for research in laser physics, semiconductor research at the Laboratory PHASE of the CNRS in Strasbourg, research in thermophysics and food science at the Division Acoustics and Thermal Physics of the Catholic University of Leuven, development laser spectroscopic methods for environmental and food science at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of Potsdam. At present, team manager of the Corporate Innovation Management of the Balluff Elektronika Kft. in Veszprém, which is a leading company in industrial automation,
elaborating platforms, innovative principles and technologies for sensing and data processing. Honorary associate professor of the University of Pannonia. Author or coauthor of more than 90 scientific publications and inventions.
