Hüsamettin U. Öztürk (Turkey 2018) is a PhD student at Hacettepe University, Institute of Population Studies, Department of Demography since 2017. He received his MA degree from Hacettepe University, Peace and Conflict Studies Program, with the dissertation titled “The Role of Insurgency in Terms of Facilitating Nonviolence: A Model Proposal for Cooperation”. His research interests are political violence, forced migration, security studies and demographic engineering. His research aims to establish a model that has the function of making migration estimation possible by analysing the recent political climate along with differences and similarities between peoples with various cultural and anthropological backgrounds in terms of their demographic behaviour and migration in face of violent conflicts.
