Feyrouz Ahlam Saidi is a researcher and academic specializing in urban and social studies, regional planning, and sustainable development. She earned her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Department of Social Geography and Regional Development at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, graduating in April 2025. After completing her studies, she continued her academic work at the University of Debrecen, where she served as a short-term researcher and contributed to several projects in small towns and spatial development.
Her scholarly work focuses on the dynamics of urban transformation, the role of small and medium-sized towns in regional development, global production networks, and sustainable spatial planning. She has written and co-written many research articles on these topics and has participated in numerous international conferences, presenting research on emerging urban trends, resilience in regional systems, and the connection between social geography and environmental sustainability. Her academic activities demonstrate a strong dedication to interdisciplinary research and evidence-based policy development. She is currently a research fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies (iASK) in Kőszeg, where she continues to explore issues related to small towns, urban development, and regional innovation.
