Title of the presentation: Energy and the Future of Our Civilization

Our civilization is based on energy, which can be interpreted as the highway of all our activities. Everything depends on energy and although the use of it is increasingly efficient, more and more is needed and preferably with decreasing prize. This can be achieved only with new technologies. The most resource efficient one is nuclear fusion, but it is the only technology on the list of presently used and developed ones, where the process is not spontaneous. This hurdle may be overcome by combining fusion with other technologies. One of the potential candidates is nanotechnology in general and nanoplasmonics in the form as applied by us. The first phase of the successful test of this method is briefly described in this presentation.
