He is a historian and environmental historian whose research focuses on the historical and social aspects of water management.

He obtained his first PhD in 2020 at Szent István University in Gödöllő with a thesis exploring the ecological consequences of karst water extraction in Transdanubia. He defended his second PhD dissertation in 2024 in Pécs, which was based on an examination of Sextus Iulius Frontinus and the organization of Roman water supply. In the same year, he conducted six months of research in Rome, where he worked on the historical reconstruction of the acquedotto network based on archival and field materials. His scientific interests include water-related social decisions, the interpretation of Roman engineering systems, and the possibilities of AI-based source analysis and text processing.

In the IASK hydrohumanities research group, he focuses on the intersections of historical water use, karst ecology, and digital methodology.
