Harold de Vladar (Austria 2016) is a cell biologist, statistical physicist and artist with a main focus on evolutionary biology. He researches a wide range of subjects spanning genetics, evolution, structural biology, ecology, cancer, synthetic biology, art & science, neuroscience, language, and culture. He created a startup company, Ribbon Synthetic Biolabs, which aims to enable the growth of synthetic biology by automating the industrial production of DNA molecules of sub-genomic lengths.
